Additional duties and activities include the following: Coordinate with community officials and with the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) as necessary to ensure the effective administration of the emergency management program; Manage, operate, and maintain the Emergency Operations Center (EOC); Establish and maintain agency emergency policies and communication procedures for all West Warwick employees and volunteers; Coordinate, develop, and implement the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) for the Town of West Warwick; Prepare and distribute disaster preparedness material to the citizens of West Warwick; Coordinate the actions and uses of West Warwick assets during emergency exercises and actual occurrences of natural disasters.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Feeding and Nutrition Program provides food vouchers, allowing them to purchase milk, eggs, cheese, juice and iron fortified cereals and formula. The WIC coordinator provides nutrition education and counseling to all program participants on a monthly basis.

Cedar Crest Subacute and Rehabilitation programs, a 156 bed medical center, were designed for patients with physical, medical and cognitive impairments who would benefit from patient-centered care and an interdisciplinary team approach. Our goal is to work with patients to achieve their optimum level of functioning. When those treatment goals are met, the patient is ready to move on. Treatment plans can include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language therapy, along with nursing care oriented to the needs of rehabilitation patients. Residents are provided with all basic needs and are encouraged to participate in a program that includes education about domestic violence, parenting and financial literacy. Provides specialized children’s services, advocacy and referrals. 16 bed capacity, NOT handicap accessible. Services Available: Case management; Crisis intervention (on-site); Domestic violence support and education; Housing search and education; Budgeting and financial literacy; 3 meals per day. Important Policies: Rent is NOT required; Medications are locked and stored in a secure location and available to guest as prescribed; Smoking allowed in designated outdoor areas; Drug/alcohol free environment; Children must be supervised at all times; Agency follows least-harm model. The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center offers a transitional housing program for families who have been affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Our program provides safety, stability and support, while clients take the next steps toward self-sufficiency. The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center is excited to announce it's new Permanent Supportive Housing program. Housing with no end date with wrap-around services available if needed.

RIEOC has been an integral part of the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) assisting individuals with applying for financial aid (FAFSA) and completing college admissions applications. The EOC office also provides an array of other services: career counseling, GED and English as a Second Language classes referrals, assistance with foreign education evaluations, financial literacy and general educational information dissemination. The RIEOC office has as a goal providing support and motivation to students to assist them in meeting their academic potential.

Warren Center provides ShortStay and LongTerm Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitative services which include Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Respiratory Therapies in our newly renovated Rehabilitation Gym. Enjoy restaurant-style dining services while overlooking our beautiful courtyard. The multi-disciplinary team at Warren Center consists of Physicians, Nurses, a Social Worker, a Dietitian, a Recreation Director, and Rehabilitative Therapists who are all dedicated and compassionate in the development and delivery of every individualized treatment plan. The Warren Center accepts admissions 7 days a week, and tours are welcome at any time.
