For adolescent girls, 13-17. Provides individual, group and family counseling in a long-term residential treatment program for women in recovery from chemical dependency. Daily living in a family atmosphere develops a sense of normalcy and belonging in a non-threatening, supportive, educative and chemically free environment. The program places a strong emphasis on the Twelve Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Assertiveness training as well as physical and recreational activities are designed to improve health and appearance. Special emphasis is placed on helping each woman develop positive feelings of self-worth that will support the ultimate goal of sobriety. A relapse prevention specialist provides residential and outpatient relapse prevention services. Eastman House also offers a continuing after care program. Through group therapy we also work on women's concerns, abuse issues and trauma. Income Source: State, private foundations, donations, fund raising

Provides outpatient and home based mental health and substance abuse treatment services for children, 4+; adults, elderly. Also information, consultation and education, referral, diagnosis, treatment, evaluation and community support services.

The meetings are drop-in groups and offers support to abused women. Confidentiality is stressed and women may come once or often. The focus is on better understanding of the abuse problem, be it emotional, physical or sexual, current or past. The goal is empowerment of the individual.

Member of the Assistive Technology Access Partnership: Device demonstration, device loan, device re-use; training, public awareness, collaboration, information and referral. Provides demonstrations, training, and long-term loan and device reutilization services of specialized telephone equipment to qualified individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, have a speech disability, or have neuromuscular damage or disease, which hinders them from using a standard telephone. Assistive Technology Many people with disabilities face barriers that prevent them from living independently in their homes, and in many cases, they are also unaware of the many devices that can improve their daily lives. OSCIL works with individuals to acquire appropriate devices and provide training on the use of those devices to enhance the individual’s independence within their home and community. Assistive Technology Access Partnership (ATAP) OSCIL is one of 4 partners participating in the Assistive Technology Access Partnership (ATAP) program. ATAP is designed as a statewide partnership of organizations, each with a targeted assistive technology focus, working together to improve access to and acquisition of assistive technology for individuals with disabilities. Some programs may have income limits. An OSCIL Independent Living Coordinator will be happy to guide you and recommend the best program for your unique needs. OSCIL CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH THE SMART HOME TECHNOLOGY TO MODIFY YOUR HOME TO HELP YOU REACH YOUR GOALS AND INDEPENDENTLY CONTROL YOUR ENVIRONMENT. A Batterers Intervention Program is a psycho-educational group led by trained professional facilitators. Each meeting is an hour and a half to two hours long, and meetings are held every week for a minimum of 20 weeks. Fees are collected, but programs can make accommodations as needed. Ask your parole officer or program staff about available options. Participants are held accountable for their attendance, must be on time, and cannot miss a meeting. Address issues of: victimization and perpetuation of abuse, substance use, mental health, domestic violence, anger management and trauma. Individuals are referred by the court and legal entities
