Senior Inpatient Treatment Unit: Inpatient services for adults age 65 years and older, the geriatric unit is led by a specialized treatment team well versed in conditions such as Alzheimer’s and other cognitive disorders as well as depression, anxiety and other mood or psychotic disorders that may cause behavioral difficulties. The clinical team works to stabilize the patient for return home or to an assisted living campus with a comprehensive transition of care process. Memory and Aging Program: An internationally renowned research program dedicated to developing breakthroughs in prevention and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, while this is not a clinical care program, it offers hope to those at risk or exhibiting memory loss symptoms. With multiple research trials underway, including registry for future studies, participants are people with normal memory who may be at jeopardy for dementia and those who are already experiencing signs of cognitive decline.

Services: Multi-service support agency for gay, lesbian, bisexual, questioning or transgendered youth, ages 13 - 22, at all stages of the coming out process. The Cumberland Senior Center is committed to providing an array of quality services to enrich and educate their senior citizens. They encourage and assist individuals in achieving a lifestyle in which they can remain an active and productive member of the community. Services include day trips and exercise classes. Membership is $8 per year to join the Cumberland Senior Center. Non-residents' cost is $12 for the annual membership. Programs: a variety of educational, informational and recreational programs for seniors are offered through the year. Pawtucket Center is tucked in the Darlington neighborhood of Pawtucket, RI. We offer a variety of services including Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies to meet the needs of our ShortStay Rehabilitation patients and LongTerm Care residents. Our designated Transitional Care Unit (TCU) has private rooms available for those with special needs and/or simply for private accommodations. Together with our patients, families and interdisciplinary team, discharge planning begins the day of admission. Our therapy department also offers the Revital Care Program.

The Gaming and Athletics section is responsible for supervising the enforcement of laws related to licensing and regulation of gaming and athletics activities, including boxing, mixed martial arts, and simulcast wagering. It is also responsible for the collection of racing taxes and fees, as specified by state law. The division promulgates rules and regulations governing pari-mutuel wagering, boxing, and mixed martial arts; handles licensing, finger printing and photo badging of all personnel and licensees; ensures that security is furnished by licensees of pari-mutuel facilities, boxing, and mixed martial arts events; and provides aid and assistance to the public, as requested, including forms and copies of rules and regulations. The section also oversees simulcast-wagering operations at Twin River Casino Hotel and Tiverton Casino Hotel and/or participates in collection of tax revenue, hearings and issues occupational licenses. The section enforces, adjusts, amends, and interprets all rules and regulations governing pari-mutuel wagering sports and all professional boxing and mixed martial arts events in the state.
