The Block Island Tourism Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the town of New Shoreham as a leisure travel destination. Camp Ruggles is Rhode Island’s therapeutic summer day camp program for children ages 6-12, who are clinically diagnosed with emotional and behavioral disabilities. Our program is designed specifically for children with significant difficulties in these areas who cannot succeed in a regular camp environment.

The South Kingstown Animal Shelter accepts neglected, abandoned, and/or stray dogs, cats, and other domestic animals. The Animal Shelter is committed to improving the quality of life of all strays in its care. To this end, adoption applicants are carefully screened. All possible medical care, including preventative attention, is given to the animals. The Animal Shelter continues to maintain a policy of euthanizing animals only for extreme behavioral problems or incurable medical conditions.

Next Stop BROADWAY® is a week-long performing arts program consisting of classes, workshops, and rehearsals focused on classic Broadway shows. Participants (“cast members”) learn songs and choreography from two hit shows from the “Golden Age of Broadway” and create their own presentations based on shows in the upcoming PPAC season and other hit musicals. In addition to dance and vocal training, the program includes a mid-week “edu-tainment” segment, highlighted with film clips of Broadway shows.
