The Rhode Island Coordinated Entry System (CES) is a partnership of all of the homeless providers in the state and is initiative of the Rhode Island Continuum of Care. The day to day operations of this program are led by the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless including the call center and shelter and housing placement. Crossroads Rhode Island provides diversion assessments. CES is a standardized assessment and referral process that helps rapidly end each household's homelessness by connecting them with appropriate housing and resources as quickly as possible. Cedar Crest Subacute and Rehabilitation programs, a 156 bed medical center, were designed for patients with physical, medical and cognitive impairments who would benefit from patient-centered care and an interdisciplinary team approach. Our goal is to work with patients to achieve their optimum level of functioning. When those treatment goals are met, the patient is ready to move on. Treatment plans can include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language therapy, along with nursing care oriented to the needs of rehabilitation patients. The patients most appropriate for this program are those whose diagnoses are orthopedic conditions, stroke, neurological disorders, or those who have experienced general weakness or de-conditioning following surgery or an illness. Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) creates a team of professionals who serve to protect and heal a child who has endured trauma. Under this model, the child comes to a child-friendly environment and meets with a trained interviewer while the other team members observe from another room via a video screen. The child is informed of the equipment and of the observing team, and is never forced to answer any questions.

Their Employment Resource Center offers one-on-one help with resumes, job searching, online job applications and career exploration. The Resource Center is also a great place to connect with our other education and job training programs.

The Rhode Island Joint Cyber Task Force (JCTF) was established to prevent and respond to cyber security events and defend the security of critical infrastructure. The RIJCTF is comprised of members from the Rhode Island State Police Computer Crimes Unit and individuals representing higher education, hospitals, finance, utilities and defense. This cyber initiative is in line with the President's mandate on cyber security. The RIJCTF provides analysis and support prior to and during catastrophic events affecting critical cyber infrastructure in Rhode Island, and ensures continuity and restoration of cyber operations.

SEDC's social service programs include: Affordable Care Act (ACA), Meal Café, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program); Southeast Asian Elder Advancement Program; assistance with transitional housing management; and case management. Social Services in Providence include: Volunteer Income Tax Assistance; Victim's Assistance Program; Affordable Care Act; and Meals on Wheels and SNAP referrals.
