OSCIL offers opportunities for persons with disabilities to share similar interests and concerns and gain greater awareness of opportunities for independence. People are encouraged to call OSCIL at any time for this connection. Peer support is one of the fundamentals of a CIL. Peer “mentors” provide role modeling and share experiences, feelings, and awareness of disability issues. Through peer support there is a full exchange of brainstorming, problem solving, and sharing of concerns, successes and ways to address issues. The peer support relationship allows for the more experienced person to provide information and support and serve as a positive role model to the person whose disability might be new or more recent. Behavioral Health Link is a comprehensive program to service individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis (mental health and/or substance abuse use) by establishing a community based, 24/7 hotline and triage center. BH has 5 treatment bays and can assist 8-10 individuals at one time. BH Link provides immediate treatment and help for people and connect them to appropriate care, 24/7 with access to the following services: Crisis Management and Stabilization Clinical Assessment System Navigation Emergency Medication Prescribing Psychiatric Consultation Services Peer Support Mobile Crisis Unit Continued Engagement and Connection to Follow-Up Services Connections to Treatment and Recovery Support Connections to Recovery Housing Care Management Skilled Nursing

Residential facility for adult males, 18+, recovering from substance abuse addiction. Intensive day program as well as intensive non-residential evening program for adult/adolescent males/females. Founded in 1971, CODAC Behavioral Healthcare is Rhode Island’s oldest and largest non-profit, outpatient provider of treatment for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). With seven community-based locations, as well as programming at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections (RI DOC), CODAC is well-positioned to deliver services wherever they are needed across the state. CODAC offers psychiatric and mental health services at all of their locations. After an initial intake screening you may be referred to an on-site psychiatric practitioner for further evaluation and treatment. Individualized treatment and recovery plans might include medication management supervised by the psychiatric practitioner and ongoing co-occurring counseling with clinical staff. It is not unusual to have both mental health disorders and a substance use disorder. Because the two conditions are so closely linked, CODAC has responded to offer you effective treatment and recovery programs to address both disorders concurrently.

CODAC East Bay programs include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD), intensified treatment programs (IOP), general outpatient treatment (GO) for alcohol and other substance use, behavioral healthcare services, tobacco cessation programs, and services for gambling addiction. CODAC East Bay, along with all other CODAC locations, has been awarded the designation of Center of Excellence (COE) for the treatment of opioid use disorder. As a designated COE, they have met or exceeded the highest standards of care (as determined by RI state agencies), are able to provide expedited access to treatment, and offer at least two of the three FDA approved medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder (methadone, buprenorphine (SuboxoneTM, SubutexTM) and oral and depot naltrexone (VivitrolTM). CODAC sites are currently the only providers in RI authorized to dispense all three of these medications. As a COE, CODAC guarantees that treatment will begin within 48 hours of your first phone call.

You will get one message each week with tips and activities for teaching your child skills like communication, coping, balancing emotions, problem solving and more. Greatest 8 is for children from birth through age 8. Messages are based on your child’s month and year of birth.

Problem Gambling Services of Rhode Island (PGSRI) offers programs and supports to individuals with gambling disorders. Funded by the Rhode Island Lottery and coordinated by CODAC, PGSRI provide individual assessment and referral to multiple providers throughout the state, including CODAC’s sites. For clients who are un- or underinsured, funding for 100% of treatment is provided through the RI Lottery. It is CODAC’s standard practice to screen all patients for disordered gambling. When we identify a patient as being a current or potential disordered gambler we offer them an assessment and referral to one of CODAC’s on-site specialists for individual counseling treatment. All CODAC clinicians have attended at least two trainings on the disorder. They also receive ongoing supervision and consultation from a Certified Gambling Addiction Specialist prior to delivering services.

Services: A nonprofit membership organization representing the majority of public and private alcohol and drug abuse treatment and prevention programs throughout Rhode Island. Committed to advocacy for quality alcohol and drug abuse treatment. We provide training for the certification of dependency professionals in the areas of treatment, prevention and student assistance as well as substance abuse training for other professionals. In addition, DATA operates the R.I. Division of Substance Abuse's "In-Rhodes" library which provides substance abuse information, research and educational materials to providers, consumers, educators, students, community-based organizations and the general public to borrow, and/or utilize for informational or educational purposes.
