Adopt-A-Spot on the Bike Path: The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council is looking for groups or individuals to adopt portions of the bike-path to keep it safe and well maintained. Adopting a portion of the path will get you a free t-shirt, litter pick, garbage bags and gloves, a listing on the website, and the satisfaction of making the bike path even more of an asset to the community. You will commit to conduct a weekly cleanup of your section and to be the "eyes and ears" of the path, checking in with Watershed Council when necessary to notify them of problems or issues that you or your group may not be able to deal with such as a fallen tree, graffiti removal, damaged planting etc.
Multiple people can adopt the same site. A business can adopt a spot and a sign will be placed along the bike path acknowledging their adoption of that spot.
