Residential Program - provides a variety of residential accommodations for adults with developmental disabilities and special needs. Scalabrini Villa has designated the Country Unit as a secured Memory Care Unit. This unit specializes in the care of residents with memory loss and dementia related diagnoses. This Special Care Unit has been developed with a team of professionals who are specialists in the disease process and its’ management. All staff involved in the Memory Care unit receive extensive training giving them the background to develop the therapeutic techniques needed to apply to the various behaviors residents demonstrate, and to understand the traumatic impact of dementia on family caregivers. This unit offers two levels of activity programs daily; evening activities, a newly developed sensory room and an outdoor herbal garden/planters. The goal of the Country Unit is to enhance the independence, safety and dignity of the participants despite their progressive cognitive and functional losses.

The mission of the College Crusade is to prepare and inspire young people in Rhode Island to become the first in their families to attend and complete college. Our organization supports approximately 4,000 students in middle school, high school, and college each year. We enroll sixth graders who attend public and public charter schools in Providence, Cranston, Pawtucket, Central Falls, Woonsocket, and West Warwick. The primary mission of the police department is crime prevention and the protection of life and property. The laws and police procedures related to them are promulgated by police agencies for the purpose of maintaining order and continuity. The basis for police actions is the law, and the credibility of the law enforcement profession will be measure by its contribution to the welfare of the whole community, its concern for excellence, and by the guidance it provides to its members toward a high level of ethical practice. Police officers have a sworn obligation to respect and defend the rights guaranteed to the people in the Constitution. In the performance of those duties they may command or prohibit behavior which tends to conflict with the expectations of free people in a free society. Particular attention must be given to ensure the just and impartial application of law. Positive police interaction, while serving the departments peace keeping mission, must be administered without prejudice; always mindful that in the execution of their duties they act in the best interest of the public. The goal of police service is to improve the quality of service and at the same time improve the quality of life in the community. Located at the Exeter Chapel. The Exeter Emergency Food Bank (501c3) is separate from the Social Services Dept. However, because it is staffed by volunteers, anyone needing assistance is asked to call the Social Services department to schedule a time to pick up food. Appointments are made for Wednesday mornings beginning at 9 am or Wednesday afternoons. Emergency situations will open the food bank as needed. Donations to the Food Bank can be dropped off at Town Hall or at the Exeter Public Library. Thanksgiving/Winter Holiday baskets and toy distribution for area residents.
