Founded in 1971, CODAC Behavioral Healthcare is Rhode Island’s oldest and largest non-profit, outpatient provider of treatment for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). With seven community-based locations, as well as programming at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections (RI DOC), CODAC is well-positioned to deliver services wherever they are needed across the state. CODAC offers psychiatric and mental health services at all of their locations. After an initial intake screening you may be referred to an on-site psychiatric practitioner for further evaluation and treatment. Individualized treatment and recovery plans might include medication management supervised by the psychiatric practitioner and ongoing co-occurring counseling with clinical staff. It is not unusual to have both mental health disorders and a substance use disorder. Because the two conditions are so closely linked, CODAC has responded to offer you effective treatment and recovery programs to address both disorders concurrently.

Jamestown Emergency Management Agency, in partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Health and Rhode Island Emergency Management, implements policies related to hazard mitigation and emergency management programs and activities. The EMA also has general supervision of all civil preparedness duties and performs any other duties as assigned by the Town Manager. Jamestown EMA staff is trained to distribute medical supplies, food and water at times when it may be required. Shelter: Melrose School, located at 76 Melrose Ave will be operational and staffed in partnership with the Rhode Red Cross at anytime that residents may be required to leave their homes. The staff at the shelter is trained to provide basic needs including food, water and medical treatment. Pets may also be sheltered at the Lawn Avenue School during these events.

The services available through NIHC for eligible Tribal Members and other eligible American Indians and Alaskan Natives (AI/AN) include direct onsite medical, community health nursing, and behavioral health care services and offsite Contract Health Services. The Providence Fire Department protects human life and property from fire, prevents fire by monitoring property owner compliance with safety ordinances, provides "first responder" emergency and services, and educates the community through school and neighborhood programs. The Division of Developmental Disabilities is responsible for planning, funding and overseeing a community system of services and supports for adults with developmental disabilities. They fund a statewide network of community services and supports for Rhode Islanders living with intellectual and significant developmental disabilities. These services are available through community provider agencies.

Services: Offers a variety of educational and support services to Rhode Island's foster family community. Life skills program for adolescents, mentoring programs for foster parents, Real Connections mentoring program for youth in transition from state care (community and relative care based); holiday gift distribution. RIEOC has been an integral part of the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) assisting individuals with applying for financial aid (FAFSA) and completing college admissions applications. The EOC office also provides an array of other services: career counseling, GED and English as a Second Language classes referrals, assistance with foreign education evaluations, financial literacy and general educational information dissemination. The RIEOC office has as a goal providing support and motivation to students to assist them in meeting their academic potential.

Sparrows Point III Apartments-a project based Section 8 Development designed for the Elderly (62 years of age and older) and/or person with disabilities under 62 years of age. The community consists of (176 apts.) 157 one bedroom and 19 two bedroom apartments and is smoke free.

The Rhode Island Veterans Home is a 110-acre complex on Mount Hope Bay in Bristol. The home provides quality nursing and residential care to Rhode Island war veterans. Some of the services provided include social, medical, nursing and rehabilitative services. Services Approximately 208 beds. Assisted living and nursing care, including secure units (Alzheimer's care) and palliative care. X-ray, dental, and pharmacy services, physical therapy and occupational therapy, psych services, transportation to PVAMC. Rehabilitation Services includes physical and occupational therapy. Social Services includes individual and group therapy and specialized support groups. Transitional Services include short-term stays in dorms or a more intensive Transitional Supportive Program for homeless veterans. Activities and Services for Residents include movies, crafts, card games, bingo, birthday parties, cookouts and day trips. Religious Services are also available. In addition to the Veterans Home buildings, the facilities include a library, gift shop, cafe, bank, barbershop, and beautician. The Veterans Home has an active Family Council that is open to family members. They meet monthly to discuss common issues and concerns affecting the residents of the home.
