Child Outreach is a free service offered to all children 3 to 5 years old. Child Outreach provides information about your child’s development and resources that are available within your community. It can also help identify children who may need further assessment, intervention and/ or services at an early age to promote positive outcomes in kindergarten and beyond.

A resource concerning Rhode Island's medical marijuana program and laws. Training provided for health care providers, attorneys, law enforcement and other interested groups.

The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program provides monthly payments to adults and children with a disability or blindness and who have income and resources below specified amounts. SSI payments can also be made to people 65 and older without disabilities who meet the financial limits. People who have worked long enough may also qualify to receive Social Security disability or retirement benefits as well as SSI.

Fox Point Manor is subsidized housing 62+, handicapped or disabled, consisting of 98 units.

The Public Utilities Commission comprises two distinct regulatory bodies: a three-member Commission (Commission) and the Division of Public Utilities and Carriers (Division). Although two distinct regulatory bodies, the Commission and Division generally operate in concert. This is evidenced by the Division’s status as an indispensable party in all Commission proceedings, and the Division’s statutory charge to enforce all directives of the Commission. Both entities may conduct inquiries, investigations and hearings to effectuate their respective duties. Both may issue orders that have the force and effect of law. The Division is also legislatively required to maintain a website in accordance with RIGL section 39-1-18. The Division makes every effort to insure that this legislative mandate is carried out. The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network is the nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1.800.656.HOPE and the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline at rainn.org, and publicizes the hotline's free, confidential services; educates the public about sexual assault; and leads national efforts to prevent sexual assault, improve services to victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice. RAINN is supported by volunteers, donors, corporations and grants.

Maggie's Pet Pantry provides assistance to people who need help in feeding their pets. The Pantry includes dog food, cat food, toys, snacks, treats, leashes and collars, etc.

Supervised apartments with supportive care

Offers training opportunities on a wide variety of topics for individuals who are either working towards or renewing a mental health, substance abuse, social work, or nursing certification or license. A nonprofit membership organization representing the majority of public and private alcohol and drug abuse treatment and prevention programs throughout Rhode Island. Committed to advocacy for quality alcohol and drug abuse treatment. We provide training for the certification of dependency professionals in the areas of treatment, prevention and student assistance as well as substance abuse training for other professionals. In addition, DATA operates the R.I. Division of Substance Abuse's "In-Rhodes" library which provides substance abuse information, research and educational materials to providers, consumers, educators, students, community-based organizations and the general public to borrow, and/or utilize for informational or educational purposes.

The CCAP Food Bank provides nutritious food and support services to people in need with compassion, dignity and respect. They are a Choice Food Bank. Their Choice Food Bank enables people to “shop” through a food selection process, much like they would in a grocery store, rather than receiving pre-packaged bags. The Choice Bank creates a dignified experience that encourages the selection of healthy foods.

College Leadership Rhode Island (CLRI) is a career readiness program that inspires, educates, and engages a diverse group of student leaders. Founded in 2004, CLRI is a tuition-free, semester-long program (4 full-day sessions) that explores careers in the nonprofit, public and private sectors through experiential learning and direct access to community and industry leaders. The Core Program is a not a starting point, but rather a process for leaders to refine and enhance their commitment to Rhode Island throughout their lives

The Animal Control Department provides shelter to stray animals and attempts to return animals to their owners and place abandoned domestic animals in good homes. The officers may also arrange for the euthanization of animals that are sick or seriously injured.

The Rhode Island Pharmaceutical Assistance to Elders (RIPAE) Program pays a portion of the cost of RIPAE-approved medications purchased during the Deductible stage of a Part D plan. There are four levels to this program; levels 1-3 are for older adults 65+ and older, and level 4 is for adults 55-64 who are disabled. Annual income(s) determine into which level of the program individuals are enrolled.
