PASA's mission is to expand and improve after-school opportunities for the youth of Providence by organizing a system to ensure all youth access to high-quality after-school programs and learning opportunities. Students who are Providence residents and earn digital badges will be extended an offer of a summer job for the summer of 2018 through Workforce Solutions – an office of the City of Providence. A variety of summer youth employment opportunities are made available each year through Workforce Solutions to over 500 Providence youth. With this badge youth will qualify to be first in line for one of several career–oriented positions offered by a host of exciting community organizations and businesses. Students who earn badges and are not Providence residents will receive a recommendation letter from the City of Providence for summer employment through their local workforce board.

The HomeSafe program is designed to offer one time financial assistance for households facing a short term emergency with the goal of ensuring households remain housed. Eligible households must demonstrate that they have the resources to remain stably housed once the HomeSafe funds have been provided.

The goal of the Weatherization Assistance Program is to improve energy efficiency for income-eligible households while assuring health and safety. The energy conservation resulting from these efforts helps reduce dependency on foreign oil and decreases the cost of energy for consumers while improving the health and safety of their homes.

Also included are programs that enforce leash laws and animal sanitation ordinances and those that handle complaints regarding domestic animals who have bitten someone or are otherwise making nuisances of themselves. Most animal control programs are unable to handle nuisance wildlife unless the animal is sick or shows symptoms of rabies.

CCRI offers Official GED Testing Centers at the Flanagan Campus in Lincoln and Liston Campus in Providence. The new GED Test is designed to guide adult learners on the pathway to gain skills and knowledge to be successful in their academic and career futures. CCRI also offers GED Prep Classes for each part of the GED test.

The HomeLink Initiative is designed to work with community health centers, public school districts and early intervention workers to help identify households that are having a housing crisis and then offer quick assistance to ensure that they remain stably housed. HomeLink offers comprehensive homelessness prevention and housing assistance through intensified case management, housing search, and landlord tenant mediation services to at-risk families and individuals. By embedding these prevention services in the health care centers, public schools and early intervention home visiting programs used by low-income households on a daily basis, the HomeLink Initiative has created a seamless entry point to link at-risk households with existing service systems and mainstream resources that can help them stabilize their housing situations, avoiding homelessness.

Substance abuse counselors provide treatment of adults and adolescents with substance abuse issues; treatment for family members affected by their loved one's addiction is also available.

The Olney Village development is concentrated around the William D’Abate Elementary School in Olneyville, where 12 formerly foreclosed properties and several vacant lots were transformed into 40 affordable homes and three community spaces for area nonprofits. The entire development is spread throughout 16 buildings along six residential blocks. The General Nathanael Greene Homestead is a National Historic Landmark located in Coventry, Rhode Island. Known as Spell Hall, it was the home of Revolutionary War General Nathanael Greene from 1770 to 1783, and was owned afterwards by his brother Jacob Greene and his wife Margaret. The house is owned and operated by the General Nathanael Greene Homestead Association, a non-profit organization, and was opened as a museum.
