Hospital charity care requirements cover those essential services necessary to diagnose, correct, or cure a medical condition that endangers life, causes pain and suffering, results in illness or infirmity, or causes a physical deformity or malfunction. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included.
To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income. Patients who get accepted will receive financial aid for a year.

Given the severe educational difficulties these students have experienced in the past, Ocean Tides seeks to provide creative, individualized programs that meet the needs of all in our care.

Positive behavior program and multiple positive behavioral supports, including stipends paid to students.
A small school atmosphere – four to twelve students per class
Individualized instruction based on IEP’s
Career to Work – experience and work study at all grade levels
Individual and / or group counseling
The Narragansett Campus offers Career/Technical education in areas such as: Culinary Arts, Carpentry/Building Maintenance, Landscape Design, Auto Detailing, Cosmetology, Horticulture, Small Engines, Woodturning, and Woodworking, Auto CAD, HTML-Web Page Design, and Video Production. Girl Scouting helps cultivate values, social conscience and self-esteem in girls, while also teaching them critical life skills that will enable them to succeed as adults. In Girl Scouting, and its special girl only environment, girls discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together. The program is delivered through troops comprised of five age levels: Daisy, 5 - 6 years old; Brownie, 6 - 8 years; Junior, 8 - 11 years old; Cadette, 11 - 14 years old and Senior, 14 - 17 years old. Individual memberships are available for girls who cannot attend regular troop meetings. A summer camp program is conducted at six camps throughout the council's area. Bilingual Hispanic staff.
Troop Leader/Co-Leader: Work with a group of girls and mentor them as they make new friends and develop connections that will last a lifetime.
Troop Family and Friends: Assist with driving, activity planning, snacks, money management, or other tasks necessary to keep the troop running oh-so-smoothly from week to week.
Cookie Volunteers: Coordinate the annual cookie sale at the troop level. Set up cookie booths, manage inventory and money, and then watch the girls light up when they earn the rewards for being the best cookie sellers ever!
Service Unit Volunteers: Mentor adult volunteers as they work with Girl Scouts to create memories they will never forget.
Camp/Seasonal Volunteers: Help the girls explore nature and find the fun outdoors.
