The Aldersbridge Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is housed in an 1,800 sq. ft. state-of-the-art suite within Linn Health & Rehabilitation located at 30 Alexander Avenue in East Providence, R.I. It’s the largest in-house rehabilitation unit of its kind within a nonprofit skilled nursing facility in the East Bay, and is open to residents and the public on an outpatient basis. Consider our Center when you need to get back on your feet after surgery or a health event, back to your home or work routine, or simply to function with the most optimal health for your activities of daily living or recreation.

The Rhode Island Veterans Home is a 110-acre complex on Mount Hope Bay in Bristol. The home provides quality nursing and residential care to Rhode Island war veterans. Some of the services provided include social, medical, nursing and rehabilitative services. Services Approximately 208 beds. Assisted living and nursing care, including secure units (Alzheimer's care) and palliative care. X-ray, dental, and pharmacy services, physical therapy and occupational therapy, psych services, transportation to PVAMC. Rehabilitation Services includes physical and occupational therapy. Social Services includes individual and group therapy and specialized support groups. Transitional Services include short-term stays in dorms or a more intensive Transitional Supportive Program for homeless veterans. Activities and Services for Residents include movies, crafts, card games, bingo, birthday parties, cookouts and day trips. Religious Services are also available. In addition to the Veterans Home buildings, the facilities include a library, gift shop, cafe, bank, barbershop, and beautician. The Veterans Home has an active Family Council that is open to family members. They meet monthly to discuss common issues and concerns affecting the residents of the home.

Services: An independent co-educational university of the arts and sciences. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1947, Salve Regina serves 2,200 men and women from 25 states and 12 foreign countries. The University offers a broad-based undergraduate curriculum with over 40 areas of concentration and 28 specific majors. The graduate curriculum presently offers 16 masters program concentrations, including Administration of Justice, Health Services Administration, Holistic Counseling, Information Systems Science, International Relations and Management.

Villa Excelsior Apartments have Section 8 contract rents – you must go to the office to fill out these applications in order to get on the wait lists. But we have a few apartments that are Low Income Housing Tax Credit Apartments with no rental subsidy. These units (1 & 2 br) are on West Ave in Pawtucket and (2br & 3br) are on Gilmore & Bridgham Streets in Providence. There are no other locations. They have fenced yards and 24 hour emergency maintenance services. No pets allowed. Rents start at $590 with no utilities included. You must have a minimum income of $1,900 per month in order to apply.

Based at Providence Public Library, Rhode Island Family Literacy Initiative (RIFLI) is a free, nationally recognized ESL, citizenship preparation, workforce development and family literacy program for adults based at public libraries throughout Rhode Island.

Reference services available. A member of Ocean State Libraries Network (OSL). One of three libraries in the South Kingstown Library System.

Assists agencies and organizations within the State of Rhode Island to enhance the quality of life for all Rhode Islanders.

The Northern Rhode Island Collaborative is a public, non-profit educational institution which was established in 1987. The multi-purpose educational collaborative provides special education programs and services primarily to its member school districts in northern Rhode Island.

Skilled care that nurses and care professionals provide and monitor include but are not limited to: Wound management and care; pain management; intravenous fluids and antibiotics; postsurgical care; medication management; laboratory and X-ray services; podiatry, audiology, optometry and dental services; nutritional services, diabetic monitoring and management including patient teaching, discharge services.

Services: Houses 29 families and 8 women daily. Shelter stays are limited to 90 days but can be renewed based on progress demonstrated by participants or impending permanent housing. Case managers assist participants with healthcare, employment and establishing permanent housing. Help also available for: mental health issues, addiction, developmental delays in children, parenting and domestic violence. Case managers access services directly through Family Resources Community Action Program or collaborative agreements with other local non profit organizations.

Forand Manor and Annex is a subsidized housing complex 62+, handicapped or disabled, consisting of 202 units.

Brightview Commons offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care/ Dementia and/or Alzheimer Care. Assisted Living allows people to keep active daily lives without worrying about maintenance, cooking, or cleaning. Offers medication management, help with daily tasks like bathing and dressing, and more. Beds: 88

The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program provides monthly payments to adults and children with a disability or blindness and who have income and resources below specified amounts. SSI payments can also be made to people 65 and older without disabilities who meet the financial limits. People who have worked long enough may also qualify to receive Social Security disability or retirement benefits as well as SSI. RI Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a federal program that provides monthly payments to people with limited income and resources. SSI is for people who are 65 or older, as well as people of any age, including children, who are blind or who have disabilities. APPLY- To get SSI, you must apply for any other government benefits for which you may be eligible. You must live in the United States or the Northern Mariana Islands to get SSI. *If you're not a US citizen, but you legally live in the US, you still may be able to get SSI. Temple North Apartments is a three-story, 24 unit, subsidized housing facility for families located in a quiet residential neighborhood with 1 and 2 bedroom units available.
