Vanderburgh House's Rogers Home sober houses offers important services to individuals in early recovery. When leaving treatment, many men have limited options, independent living is difficult, and sober housing offers an attractive alternative to many options available. Offers a structured sober hous for men where every resident is supported in their recovery journeys. Residents live together as a family to develop the tools and strengthen their character in order to live free from substance abuse. Home allows for independence while guided by a set of recovery-focused house rules, standards, and expectations. The core of Vanderburgh structure is abstinence from drugs and alcohol. Residents are engaged in their personal recovery journey by attending meetings and working with a sponsor and a House Manager for support and encouragement. Residents adhere to a curfew, submit to drug and alcohol screenings, and participate in home and community events. Residents live independently in a gender-specific home Rooms are typically shared with one or more peers Residents pay rent weekly or monthly; doesn't accept health insurance Each home is lead by a House Manager Homes are convenient, comfortable, affordable, and supportive Residents live according to Resident Handbook and House Rules

Using innovative sustainable practices, the managers of Watson Farm continue the tradition of pastoral husbandry, grazing Heritage Red Devon cattle and sheep on the scenic seaside pastures. The farmers produce 100% grass-fed beef and lamb and wool blankets for local markets. The house, still used as the farmers’ residence, is not open to the public.

The Supreme Court is the state's "Court of last resort" - the court where final appeals to questions of the law and equity in the state's Superior and Family Courts, as well as certain matters appealed from Rhode Island's District and Worker's Compensation Courts. Westerly Animal Control is part of the Westerly Police Department and is responsible for enforcing Town ordinances as well as State and Federal laws pertaining to animals and animal husbandry. The Westerly Animal Control Officer is under the direct supervision of the Captain of the Police Department. Westerly Animal Control is also responsible for properly carrying out the rules and regulations pertaining to the Rhode Island Rabies Management Protocol as well as conducting vicious dog hearings, controlling the feral cat population and speaking to groups, neighborhood associations and school children regarding humane education. Primary goals for Animal Control is to educate Westerly citizens on proper pet guardianship, rabies awareness, co-existing with area wildlife and effective enforcement by means of example, meaningful dialogue or by more serious measures through animal impoundment, citations/summons and municipal or district court.

Hopkins Manor, Ltd. is a 200-bed skilled nursing facility providing traditional nursing home care as well as sub-acute rehabilitation, hospice, respite and alzheimer’s care. They can accommodate both long and short term placement and resident admissions are facilitated seven days a week. Treatment programs integrate nursing, dietary, activities and other disciplines to promote recovery of functional skills. The goal is to achieve the highest practicable physical, mental and psychological well being while treating each resident with the utmost dignity and respect. Services and treatment are offered without discrimination as to sex, race, color, religion, national origin or source of payment.

Their programs improve lives through education, skills training, and clinical care when needed. A program like Baby Steps is a great place for parents to learn how their child develops. Their Home Energy Assistance Program helps those who can’t afford to heat their homes. Through the Congregate Nutrition Program, seniors received a healthy warm meal through their local Senior Centers. Head Start Programs teach the importance of a child’s healthy development so they can grow and thrive! The AmeriCorps Foster Grandparent Program offers a way for individuals 55 and older to stay active by serving children and youth in communities while providing a unique service built on the natural bond between generations. Their AmeriCorps East Bay Retired and Senior Volunteer Program places individuals 55 and older volunteering in many programs and nonprofits in the East Bay area. Their Volunteer Income Tax Program (VITA) provides fee tax preparation for income eligible individuals. Education and Career Pathways helps with educational goals, job readiness skills and improved career options. Their food pantries offer twice monthly food distribution. Senior Services provides options and resources to help income eligible seniors remain in the community. Satellite location of EBCAP. Food Pantry Victims of Crime Act- Advocacy for Crime Victims Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Feeding and Nutrition Program provides food vouchers, allowing them to purchase milk, eggs, cheese, juice and iron fortified cereals and formula. The WIC coordinator provides nutrition education and counseling to all program participants on a monthly basis.
