Indie Cycle provides collection of old or unused electronics and some small appliances. Indie Cycle then transports CRT materials to one of the following: Good Point Recycling for proper disposal or re-manufacturing, Goodwill Industries (non-CRT materials) to be refurbished or demanufactured in their Providence facility, or local artists who utilize electronics and metals in their artwork. Indie Cycle guarantees that all items will be refurbished, reused, demanufactured or recycled legally, ethically and responsibly, but cannot guarantee specific items will have specific outcomes. In other words, your bad computer might be fixed (without your data!), your perfectly good television might be recycled, or your old odd antique or vintage device may become a piece of artwork. The most important thing is that your electronics will be diverted from the landfill and you don't have to do anything but contact Indie Cycle and maybe pitch in for gas.

Our classrooms are bright and inviting and are designed to maximize creativity and learning. Healthy lunches and snacks are provided to children daily. In addition to providing educational and nutritional resources, children will have access to health and dental screenings at no cost, and families will be provided with health referrals and referrals for emergency services whenever needed. We recruit families 12 months per year. Head Start Program provides a center-based, comprehensive early childhood education program for 76 children from ages three to Five years old. The Tri-County Early Head Start program offers a home-based option for children aged birth to three years old, in which an educator visits the home once per week to engage the child in educational and developmental activities, and socialization strategies. Classroom-based options are available for children ages 18 months to 3 years old, and focus on fun and engaging curriculum to prepare the child for pre-school. Early Head Start is a federal program for eligible families, that are expecting a child, or with a child ages birth to three years old. The program provides services that promote cognitive, language and social-emotional development of the child. Children enrolled in the program will receive medical and dental screenings at no cost, and families are provided with assistance locating health care, and emergency services whenever needed. The Early Head Start program provides center-based early education services to 8 children in one classroom. Early Head Start also offers home-based services to 22 children and families including 5 prenatal clients. Families residing in the towns of North Kingstown, South Kingstown, Narragansett, Hopkinton, Richmond, Exeter, Charlestown, Westerly, and New Shoreham are eligible for the program. Eligibility Guidelines: The programs service families with income at or below the federal poverty guidelines, children in living in foster care, and families experiencing homelessness. Ten percent of enrollment slots must be filled with children with a diagnosed disability. The Joyful Learning Child Academy: is a pre-school and early education program that services families with young children. The program provides comprehensive early education and development services to infants and children six weeks through five years of age. Joyful Learning is licensed by the RI Department of Children, Youth and Families and is accredited by the RI Department of Education. Furthermore, the program was awarded 4 stars under the BrightStars ratings system as defined by the Rhode Island Association for the Education of Young Children [RIAEYC]. Blackstone Valley Community Health Care offers behavioral health treatment to support the emotional wellbeing of each patient. The Behavioral Health team works closely with primary care providers to screen and assess the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of each patient. Counseling treatment is provided by highly trained Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Licensed Mental Health Counselors. Services include: Individual Therapy, 1:1 support for patients to help address mental health challenges to change or improve quality of life; Group Therapy allows patients to receive support from our behavioral health clinicians and other members of the group, helping them to feel less alone or isolated; Referral Services for those in need of more intensive, wrap-around services than BVCHC can provide, connecting to local community resources; Peer Recovery Coaching, offered by a certified recovery specialist to provide insight into the recovery process and help patients become and stay engaged in the recovery process to reduce the likelihood of relapse; Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) an evidence-based practice used to identify, reduce, and prevent problematic use, abuse, and dependence on alcohol and illicit drugs.

The Employee Benefits Security Administration is responsible for administering and enforcing the fiduciary, reporting and disclosure provisions of Title I of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). The goal which is to protect the interests of participants and their beneficiaries in employee benefit plans. Among other things, ERISA requires that sponsors of private employee benefit plans provide participants and beneficiaries with adequate information regarding their plans. Also, those individuals who manage plans (and other fiduciaries) must meet certain standards of conduct, derived from the common law of trusts and made applicable (with certain modifications) to all fiduciaries. The law also contains detailed provisions for reporting to the government and disclosure to participants. Furthermore, there are civil enforcement provisions aimed at assuring that plan funds are protected and that participants who qualify receive their benefits. COBRA Continuation Coverage Assistance Under The American Recovery And Reinvestment Act: The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) provides for premium reductions and additional election opportunities for health benefits under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985, commonly called COBRA. Eligible individuals pay only 35 percent of their COBRA premiums and the remaining 65 percent is reimbursed to the coverage provider through a tax credit. The premium reduction applies to periods of health coverage beginning on or after February 17, 2009 and lasts for up to nine months for those eligible for COBRA during the period beginning September 1, 2008 and ending December 31, 2009 due to an involuntary termination of employment that occurred during that period. The TAA Health Coverage Improvement Act of 2009, enacted as part of ARRA, also made changes with regard to COBRA continuation coverage.
