Also provides faith-sensitive professional (not a psychiatrist) counseling for individuals ages10+, and families in the areas of abuse issues; adult children of alcoholics, anxiety, behavioral changes, bereavement, depression, identity crises, marital or family problems, rape, religious or meaning-of-life crises, sexual identity concerns, stress, vocational crises. Purpose is to assist persons to live a deep, meaningful and fulfilling life. Also, clergy coaching, church consulting, and educational programs for groups (parenting, stress reduction, dream work).

Welcome to Rhode Island Al-Anon Family Groups. Al-Anon/Alateen is a worldwide fellowship of those who feel their lives have been deeply affected by someone else's drinking. ​ Many who come to Al-Anon/Alateen are in despair, feeling hopeless, unable to believe that things can ever change. We want our lives to be different, but nothing we have done has brought about change. We want and need help.

Early Seekers on Saturday mornings provides food and clothing to those who are experiencing homelessness at Kennedy Plaza and Crossroads Shelter, both located in Providence. They provide 300+ bagged lunches and give out donated clothing, toiletries, and other items on a weekly basis.

Partnership with Coastway Community Bank, they offer a 3 hour class quarterly (or as needed) on Money Management; e.g. getting credit, checking account, savings account.

Offers meetings twice a year, Fall and Spring, a newsletter, parent support meetings, annual conferences, an up-to-date library, social events and new parent information packets, Buddy Walk, holiday party. They offer parents support, information, and advocate in the service system and in the community. We also offer newsletters, public awareness activities, and support. DSSRI provides information, experience, and support on challenges associated with raising a child with Down syndrome. We share this information with parents, family members, professionals and other individuals through informational meetings with speakers and panels, newsletters , and special events. DSSRI also provides support on an individual, parent- to- parent basis. DSSRI offers free New Parent Baskets to new Down syndrome families, which includes books about Down syndrome, pamphlets, toys, and something for mom and dad to help celebrate their new little one. DSSRI also serves as a resource for professionals interested in parental concerns. We provide speakers to schools, colleges, professional organizations and civic/ fraternal groups. DSSRI also advocates in the service system and in the community for all individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Community Based Day Services Day services at Opportunities Unlimited are community based i.e. individuals spend their day involved in activities of interest that facilitates their interaction and involvement with members of the community. Some places where individuals spend their time include – The RI Community Food Bank, Cranston Senior Center, Meals on Wheels, RI Hospital, SPCA. Staff assistance and support is available to insure a successful experience.

Greenwood Center, located in Warwick, provides skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation therapy. The center is affiliated with Genesis HealthCare and serves up to 123 residents and patients at a time. Greenwood Center has served Kent County since 1964.

The Center has an active tissue typing laboratory which supports bone marrow transplantation and parentage testing.
