Raising Hope, Inc. is a community-based non-profit organization located in Providence, Rhode Island; providing youth development activities after-school and out-of-school times to children and youth ages 7 to 25 years old from immigrant and low income families. Programs include homework assistance, mentoring, youth soccer, career skills development, arts and cultural programs.

The Mission at Roger Williams Middle School is to engage students in personalized learning opportunities with an emphasis on the arts and civic engagement. WomensLaw provides state-specific legal information and resources for survivors of domestic violence. More than 1.2 million unique users visit the website annually, and WomensLaw.org provides referrals and information to more than 3,000 individuals through the Email Hotline. The WomensLaw Email Hotline will provide legal information to anyone who reaches out with legal questions or concerns regarding domestic violence, sexual violence, or any other topic covered on WomensLaw.org. Despite its name, WomensLaw.org provides information that is relevant to people of all genders, not just women.

Primary Care

Support group for people who are undergoing or have undergone colostomy, ileostomy or urostomy surgery. The group is aimed primarily at the ostomate but is open to friends, family members, caregivers, including health care professionals or any person interested in the rehabilitation of ostomates. Offers quarterly meetings: at 7:00PM at Miriam Hospital or Roger Williams Hospital. Call for meeting days and additional information.

Lincoln Emergency Management Agency implements policies related to hazard mitigation and emergency management programs and activities. The EMA also has general supervision of all civil preparedness duties.

The Visitation Center serves families whose children are in the care of DCYF due to substance use or mental health concerns. Families are able to have supervised visits in a home-like setting while receiving support in their recovery. The program provides for: Supervised Visits - Visits in a home environment with a focus on everyday family activities. Clinical Oversight - consultation and assessment, observation and clinical work around visits, assistance with coordination of supports and help with parenting skill building. Family Recovery Coaching - support with the recovery process, information and resource connections and help navigating the child welfare system. Transportation - transportation for the children to visits, if needed.

Services: A small independent day school founded in 1999 to provide a unique educational environment for children with multiple learning differences. The goal was to create a school that would provide children with the opportunity to reach their full academic and social potential. The founding members of the Board, including educators, clinical specialists and a family, created a model that emphasizes the development of core grade level skills taught through a therapeutically guided curriculum. WFS Online is an open forum for women overcoming their addictions using the New Life Program. WFS Online consists of a 24/7 message board where women can share and seek support for their recovery, as well as online text chat meetings that occur 1-2 times daily.

A federally licensed non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Rhode Island community with blood and blood components. The Center has an active tissue typing laboratory which supports bone marrow transplantation and parentage testing. The Rhode Island Blood Center is a donor center for the National Marrow Donor Program and has an active Pheresis Program.

MLK Jr. Community Center is a nonprofit service provider for at-risk individuals, families and seniors. Hunger Services On Site Food Pantry - providing non-perishable food, frozen meat, fresh produce, bread and household and personal care items to our Newport County residents. All clients are eligible to shop once per month. Mobile Food Pantry - visits neighborhoods across Newport County each month on a rotating schedule. Food 2 Friends - monthly food delivery service to home-bound neighbors and people unable to come to the on-site food pantry. Contact Jose Ramos at 401-846-4828 x 207 to get an application form. Breakfast Program - Mon-Fri 7:30 - 9:00. Serve a hot breakfast to eat in or take out. Enter through the Edward Street Entrance. Lunch Program - Tues, Thurs and Fri 11:30 - 1:00. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included. To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income. The Fogarty Center offers individual Person-Centered services for job seekers with intellectual/developmental disabilities by offering a comprehensive progression of employment-related services. These services include; Discovery, Career Exploration, Job Trial/Assessment, Placement, Job Coaching and Monitoring. The Fogarty Center also supports adults by planning meaningful activities throughout the day, based on personal preference, within a variety of settings including day programs as well as locations within the community.
