Domestic Violence is one of the leading causes of homelessness for women. As an affiliate member of the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence, we provide integrated services to address the unique needs of domestic violence survivors, as we work with them to break the cycle of violence and find secure, stable housing. Through the Domestic Violence Program we offer comprehensive trauma-informed services for domestic violence survivors, including a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, rapid re-housing, advocacy, support groups, and children's enrichment programs. The Domestic Violence Program is primarily an emergency shelter program with a focus on safety and housing. The shelter provides safety for 26 domestic violence survivors and their children in a confidential location separate from other Crossroads properties. Clients have access to Crossroads Rhode Island’s range of services, including basic needs assistance, education, employment services and intensive case management, while they work to find a secure and stable home.

Residential facility for adult males, 18+, recovering from substance abuse addiction. Intensive day program as well as intensive non-residential evening program for adult/adolescent males/females. Outpatient substance abuse counseling and group therapy. Also provides counseling for domestic violence, gambling, and anger management services for men, women and children over six.

A Batterers Intervention Program is a psycho-educational group led by trained professional facilitators. Each meeting is an hour and a half to two hours long, and meetings are held every week for a minimum of 20 weeks. Fees are collected, but programs can make accommodations as needed. Ask your parole officer or program staff about available options. Participants are held accountable for their attendance, must be on time, and cannot miss a meeting. Address issues of: victimization and perpetuation of abuse, substance use, mental health, domestic violence, anger management and trauma. Individuals are referred by the court and legal entities

Free drop-in Domestic Violence groups for women dealing with current or past domestic abuse. CIRCLE OF FRIENDS - All friends and family members share ideas with people who have had similar experiences to support loved ones in abusive relationships ​

Services: Provides intake/outreach in areas of housing (including fuel assistance, home improvements and placement), emergency services (including domestic violence, fire and vandalism), shut-in, home-bound. Emergency food is available. Community relations involve workshops, urban gardening. Youth program operates during after-school hours, weekends and school vacations (offers counseling on college preparation; placement and career awareness; co-ed basketball for ages 13-18 years). Provides individual and group counseling for victims of sexual assault and their families. Offers 24-hour hotline, information, advocacy, support, legal assistance and crisis counseling. trained counselors/advocates available to meet victims at hospital, police station and court. Assault Prevention Program offers personal safety programs to students in preschool through college. Day One serves victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and other violent crimes. Services include the 24-hour Victims of Crime Helpline; crisis intervention, individual and group counseling for children and adults, advocacy (including legal advocacy) for victims and their families. Also, the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), the RI Children's Advocacy Center, prevention education and a new Family Foster Care Treatment Program for sexually abused children in foster care and their foster families.

Residential school for boys, grades seven through twelve. Offering a full high school diploma, the school is licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). In addition, we offer a certified special education program and career/technical education programming. Our student body is comprised of Ocean Tides residential students and students referred by their school district for education purposes (both regular and special education). Each candidate is screened by the Director of Special Education and the Principal before admittance to ensure the student is ready and willing to enter the program. Services: A social change group made up of survivors of domestic violence and a task force from the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence. We work to address issues that affect the lives of women after leaving abusive relationships.

Clinical support groups are consistently a beneficial intervention for the clients and families. Offers clinical support groups for survivors of sexual abuse (child, teen and adults) and their parents and caregivers. Offers groups focusing on healthy self-esteem, socialization and healing from trauma. Justice Resource Institute’s My Life My Choice (MLMC) Support Group. This 10 session group is designed to empower youth to protect themselves from the commercial sex industry and its perpetrators; explore what makes a healthy relationship; improve self-esteem; and provide positive interaction with peers, medical professionals, law enforcement officers, and survivors. This group beneficial for all teenage girls, as all teenage girls are at risk for exploitation. Clients do not need to have a sexual abuse history to benefit from this group. Non-profit agency offering comprehensive treatment programs for boys and girls traumatized by abuse or experiencing the challenges of psychiatric disorders. Includes therapy, prevention, education, seminars, workshops etc. Children are treated and cared for in the residential, educational and out-patient programs located in North Providence, Rhode Island.

Community Care Alliance strives to empower people experiencing economic insecurity, mental illness and addiction, housing issues, and trauma-related concerns.
