The Pawtucket Foundation represents the business and not-for-profit sector as an advocate and catalyst for downtown, riverfront and transportation gateway enhancements within the City of Pawtucket. As civic entrepreneurs, we foster a vision of the community's future by mobilizing and coordinating research, information, talent and resources to positively impact the City.

Efforts are focused on children's success in school as their pathway out of poverty; increasing job skills for low-income adults so they can better support themselves and their families and reducing homelessness by increasing the stock of affordable homes and piloting a supportive housing solution for chronically homeless individuals. Strategies include public policy, collaboration, leveraging of resources and relationships to expand the scope of work, educating the public on the issues, and increasing the community's capacity to respond to need. UWRI's mission is to mobilize the caring power of the community to improve the lives of people in need. UWRI's vision is a Rhode Island with fewer people in need.

134 Collaborative is an initiative in partnership with Mathewson Street Church. They bring together like-minded organizations to build a community collaborative for social good in the heart of downtown Providence, Rhode Island. In addition to community collaborations, 134 Collaborative provides basic toiletries, used clothing and emergency bus tickets, as available, to those who are homeless, low income or attend programs on site. Public bathrooms are open to all when the building is open.
