Residents typically can remain in the program from six months to a year where they are assisted with substance abuse treatment, work therapy, case management services, individual counseling, medical and psychiatric treatment and discharge planning. Teaching fellows are high school and college students, ages 16-22, from local public, private, and parochial schools. During the Summerbridge Program, teaching fellows are recruited nationally through the Breakthrough Collaborative’s Summer Teaching Fellowship Program.
