A division of Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children’s Hospital is the region’s premiere provider of pediatric clinical care. The hospital offers a broad spectrum of both routine care and specialty programs not available elsewhere. Hasbro Children’s has the only pediatric emergency department, Level 1 Trauma Center, pediatric critical care teams, and 24-hour ambulance in the region. There approach to pediatric medicine makes parents, who know their children best, an essential part of the care team. Hasbro Children’s Hospital is introducing a new single phone number for all of our pediatric services. OSCIL assist people with disabilities in locating available services and products such as affordable, accessible housing, transportation options, adaptive equipment, support services, and more. OSCIL’s Information and Referral program provides consumers and their families, service providers, and the general public with information on a wide array of community resources and disability services. Information can be obtained via phone, e-mail, fax or in person. OSCIL’s Signs of Independence quarterly newsletter provides information on disability issues to consumers and service providers. As a designated agency for “The Point”, OSCIL Information and Referral Coordinators provide up-to-date information on a vast array of agency and community services. The purpose of this is to bring solutions to the problems faced by individuals with disabilities.

Services include (but are not limited to) diagnostic hearing tests, hearing aid evaluations and dispensation; aural rehabilitation; assessment of and treatment for voice, articulation, fluency, and language disorders; communication and cognitive therapy for adults with neurological disorders resulting from strokes or traumatic brain injuries; and programs to improve fluency for ESL clients.

Elder Case Management provides assessment, monitoring, and protective services for seniors. Case managers oversee the development and implementation of client-specific care plans. They can help clients maintain independence through home and community services. These services are state-subsidized through the RI Division of Elderly Affairs’ Home and Community Care Programs.

Tri-County’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP, offers assistance with managing costs associated with home energy bills. Tri-County is able to help with paying fuel and utility bills during the winter months for eligible clients, and we can arrange for the installation of home insulation to reduce home-heating costs (gas, electric, propane, oil, kerosene or wood) through our weatherization program.

The CRLB is an agency within the Department of Business Regulation’s, Division of Building, Design, and Fire Professionals. It is responsible for administrating and enforcing the registration and licensing requirements of certain contractors, and protecting the public by investigating complaints by homeowners and issuing fines and penalties for violations of the general laws, rules, and regulations.
