Village House offers the comforts of home for those who need short-term recuperation or rehabilitation following a hospital stay. They also offer long-term care for those with chronic conditions or respite care when family caregivers need someone to step into their shoes for a short time. For those with a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia, the special care rooms provide the peace of mind that only a secure environment staffed by those specially trained in Alzheimer’s and dementia care can provide. Temple North Apartments is a three-story, 24 unit, subsidized housing facility for families located in a quiet residential neighborhood with 1 and 2 bedroom units available.

For adolescent girls, 13-17. Provides individual, group and family counseling in a long-term residential treatment program for women in recovery from chemical dependency. Daily living in a family atmosphere develops a sense of normalcy and belonging in a non-threatening, supportive, educative and chemically free environment. The program places a strong emphasis on the Twelve Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Assertiveness training as well as physical and recreational activities are designed to improve health and appearance. Special emphasis is placed on helping each woman develop positive feelings of self-worth that will support the ultimate goal of sobriety. A relapse prevention specialist provides residential and outpatient relapse prevention services. Eastman House also offers a continuing after care program. Through group therapy we also work on women's concerns, abuse issues and trauma. Income Source: State, private foundations, donations, fund raising

Goddard Memorial State Park offers a natural environment with spacious lawns, fields, and forested areas with a variety of trees from all over the world, including 62 deciduous and 19 evergreen species. The park also offers a nine hole golf course, an equestrian show area, 18 miles of bridle trails, 355 picnic tables, 11 game fields, and a performing arts center for weddings, concerts, picnics and special events.

Steere House is an independent non-profit organization, serving adults who require skilled, restorative and long-term care services within a secure and caring environment. Steere House also provides educational and research experiences that enhance the care of those we serve. Shelter Policies: All calls for service must be filed through the Warren Police Department. Non-emergency calls and inquiries may be made to the Warren Animal Shelter during normal business hours. The Warren Animal Shelter impounds stray dogs and sick or injured cats ONLY. Persons wishing to surrender an animal must contact a private humane agency (ie: RISPCA, Providence Animal Rescue League, Potter League, etc.)

Hands On Disaster Response (HODR) is a US-based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, that provides hands-on assistance to survivors of natural disasters around the world. Supports volunteers with housing, meals, tools, and organized work at no charge in order to provide free and effective response services to communities in need. Programs are directed by the needs of each community in which they work, ensuring a timely, relevant, and culturally sensitive response.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps low-income households with fuel bills during the winter. Eligible households receive a grant to help pay their heating bills. Grants are paid directly to the utility or fuel company. The program generally runs from mid-October thru April.

Head Start educators work with families and children to implement developmental and socialization strategies that work best for you and your child. Our classrooms are bright and inviting and are designed to maximize creativity and learning. Healthy lunches and snacks are provided to children daily. In addition to providing educational and nutritional resources, children will have access to health and dental screenings at no cost, and families will be provided with health referrals and referrals for emergency services whenever needed. We recruit families 12 months per year.
