Hospital charity care requirements cover those essential services necessary to diagnose, correct, or cure a medical condition that endangers life, causes pain and suffering, results in illness or infirmity, or causes a physical deformity or malfunction. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included. To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income. Family Support Center provides basic needs assistance to low income households and connects families to financial literacy and other programs to strengthen their financial condition. The Family Support Center serves low and moderate income Woonsocket residents depending on eligibility requirements for fund-specific programs.

RIEOC has been an integral part of the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) assisting individuals with applying for financial aid (FAFSA) and completing college admissions applications. The EOC office also provides an array of other services: career counseling, GED and English as a Second Language classes referrals, assistance with foreign education evaluations, financial literacy and general educational information dissemination. The RIEOC office has as a goal providing support and motivation to students to assist them in meeting their academic potential.

Pocasset Elementary School PTO is a nonprofit parent/teacher organization whose membership includes all parents, legal guardians and staff at Pocasset Elementary School. The PTO's mission is to promote open communication and understanding between parents and staff of the Pocasset Elementary School.
