Stroke Specialty
The Stroke Specialty Rehabilitation Program, a CARF recognized program, provides adults needing therapy to improve their function and quality of life. Our patients have been diagnosed with cerebral vascular accidents (CVA), intracranial hemorrhages, and thrombo/embolic strokes.
Neurorehabilitation
This program treats patients with diagnoses such as brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, and multiple sclerosis. Our dedicated staff work with patients to regain the skills to walk, communicate and live more independently. Our therapists also treat patients with cognitive and/or behavioral disabilities.
Orthopedic
Our rehabilitation program treats patients after hip fractures, joint replacement, and multiple trauma. We strive to always improve our therapy, and our orthopedic program’s innovations have been published in major rehabilitation journals.

Financial asistance is intended to ensure all patients receive essential emergency and other medically necessary healthcare services provided by CNE regardless of their ability to pay. To that end, CNE will assist individuals who do not otherwise have the ability to pay charges as determined under CNE’s qualification criteria and takes into account each individual’s ability to contribute to the cost of his or her care. CNE financial assistance is not intended to serve as a substitute for employer-sponsored, privately purchased, third party liability, state or federally funded assistance or insurance programs.
To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income. Patients who get accepted will receive financial aid for a year.

State Archives, Library and Public Information
The State Archives, State Library, and Public Information Division works to ensure that Rhode Islanders have easy access to government records and publications, state laws, information about legislative sessions, agency regulations, and the structures of state government. There are four units that comprise the Division—the State Archives and The Public Records Administration, the State Library, the Office of Public Information, and the Administrative Rules Office. The State Archives and Public Records Administration ensures that our state’s historic documents are preserved and made accessible to the public. It also oversees a statewide Records Management program to support state agencies and local governments. The State Library assists lawmakers and the public with current and historical research, and serves as the legislative library for the State. The Office of Public Information ensures and strengthens government transparency and accessibility through the publication of meeting minutes and agendas, registration and reporting of lobbying relationships, and disclosures of appointments to State Boards and Commissions. The Administrative Rules Office manages rules and regulations filed with the Department of State by state agencies. Collectively, these units work to ensure that information is transparent, accessible, and available to all Rhode Islanders.
Finance & Personnel
The Finance & Personnel Division provides human resource support to the employees who work for the Department of State. Employment opportunities with the Department of State please can be found on the Apply RI website. The Finance & Personnel Division is responsible for managing the budget and vendor relations.
eGovernment and Information Technology Division
The eGov and IT Division is responsible for ensuring that Rhode Islanders are able to access public records through the Department of State's website and other electronic avenues. The eGov and IT Division maintains the Department of State's infrastructure for internal and public users and provides data sharing capabilities to state agencies throughout Rhode Island.

The Rhode Island Veterans Home is a 110-acre complex on Mount Hope Bay in Bristol. The home provides quality nursing and residential care to Rhode Island war veterans. Some of the services provided include social, medical, nursing and rehabilitative services.
Services
Approximately 208 beds.
Assisted living and nursing care, including secure units (Alzheimer's care) and palliative care.
X-ray, dental, and pharmacy services, physical therapy and occupational therapy, psych services, transportation to PVAMC.
Rehabilitation Services includes physical and occupational therapy.
Social Services includes individual and group therapy and specialized support groups.
Transitional Services include short-term stays in dorms or a more intensive Transitional Supportive Program for homeless veterans.
Activities and Services for Residents include movies, crafts, card games, bingo, birthday parties, cookouts and day trips.
Religious Services are also available.
In addition to the Veterans Home buildings, the facilities include a library, gift shop, cafe, bank, barbershop, and beautician. The Veterans Home has an active Family Council that is open to family members. They meet monthly to discuss common issues and concerns affecting the residents of the home.
