Richmond Animal Control Division handles approximately 75 calls-for-service per month, which often vary from noise complaints to animal "at large" violations, to animal bite complaints, and several other enforcement related duties. Complaints and calls concerning domesticated animals are received at Richmond Police Department, which serves as dispatch for Animal Control. Non-emergency calls received after-hours are referred to the next Animal Control Officer to return to duty. The Animal Control Division also provides temporary shelter, feeding, care and medical treatment for impounded animals, and routinely facilitated adoptions to place abandoned, neglected, or unwanted animals in the care of willing and capable pet owners who are eager to provide the pet a safe and nurturing home environment.

Through compassionate listening and validation, crisis counselors play a crucial role in helping survivors regain a sense of control, rebuild their lives, and ultimately break the cycle of abuse. The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center offers free crisis case management services that include: Assistance applying for the Rhode Island Crime Victim Compensation Fund Assessment of client’s needs and services Creating a safety plan for the client, providing crisis intervention, and any necessary outside referrals Assistance with obtaining temporary and permanent housing Advocating for clients to create sustainable goals for themselves and increase self-sufficiency Culturally competent and trauma informed services Assistance applying for Social Services, healthcare assistance and financial assistance, etc. Promote stability for the client and maintain a safe space for clients to process, understand, and overcome their interpersonal violence.

Early Intervention serves eligible children and their families to promote growth and development. Services are provided by a team of qualified professionals working in partnership with the family to ensure the best possible service provision.

CODAC East Bay, serving East Providence, Barrington, Warren, Pawtucket and surrounding areas, treats more than 350 patients weekly. Programs include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD), intensified treatment programs (IOP), general outpatient treatment (GO) for alcohol and other substance use, behavioral healthcare services, tobacco cessation programs, and services for gambling addiction. CODAC East Bay, along with all other CODAC locations, has been awarded the designation of Center of Excellence (COE) for the treatment of opioid use disorder. As a designated COE, they have met or exceeded the highest standards of care (as determined by RI state agencies), are able to provide expedited access to treatment, and offer at least two of the three FDA approved medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder (methadone, buprenorphine (SuboxoneTM, SubutexTM) and oral and depot naltrexone (VivitrolTM). CODAC sites are currently the only providers in RI authorized to dispense all three of these medications. As a COE, CODAC guarantees that treatment will begin within 48 hours of your first phone call. In addition to individual counseling, CODAC East Bay offers a rich and comprehensive selection of group counseling opportunities, including groups for pre- and post-partum women; early recovery patients; co-occurring patients; DUI referrals; tobacco cessation and problem gambling patients; anger management referrals; and groups for adolescents. Offerings change over time to reflect shifting patient needs and interests.

College Visions is a FREE program that provides low-income and first-generation students with one-on-one advising and resources to get in, succeed,and graduate from college. Beginning the summer before senior year of high school, students are assigned aCV advisor and work on college essays, resumes, scholarships, the financial aid process, and more. CV students participate in weekly meetings with their advisor, attendcollege visits, receive SAT fee waivers,and engage in workshops focused on the college process. Once admitted into college, our students receive support throughout their college career until they graduate

The donated bikes get seat replacements, tires repaired, chains fixed, reflectors placed on tires/front & back of bike, and even touch up paint and some TLC and the bikes look close to brand new with a holiday bow
