The Office of Energy Resources (OER) is Rhode Island’s lead state agency on energy policy and programs. The mission of OER is to lead Rhode Island to a secure, cost-effective, and sustainable energy future. OER works closely with private and public stakeholders to increase the reliability and security of our energy supply, reduce energy costs and mitigate price volatility, and improve environmental quality. Rhode Islanders spend over $3 billion per year on energy to light their homes, keep the heat on, and fuel their vehicles. Fossil fuels such as natural gas, fuel oil, and gasoline supply the vast majority of these energy needs. By developing and implementing smart energy policies—such as those that promote energy efficiency and renewable energy—OER helps reduce Rhode Island's dependence on these out-of-state fuels, advancing our State as a national leader in the new clean energy economy. OER operates at the nexus of the many ongoing efforts to transform the Ocean State energy system. Core functions of the office include: Developing, administering, and monitoring a variety of programs designed to promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, alternative fuels, and energy assurance. Offering technical assistance and funding opportunities for end-users including residents, businesses, and municipalities. Providing policy expertise and support related to strategic energy planning, energy assurance, and clean energy workforce development. Leveraging, coordinating, and aligning inter-agency, public-private, regional, and federal efforts to reach and exceed energy goals.

A member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association). Services: Improving animal and human health. Advancing the veterinary medical profession. RIVMA has developed a special program to help low-income pet owners afford the cost of spaying or neutering their pets. Through this program, eligible pet owners can receive a discounted rate on spay or neuter surgery at participating veterinary hospitals and clinics throughout Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts.

A forty foot long dental office on wheels that was donated by Ronald Mac Donald House to East Bay Community Action Program and two other partnering agencies - Thundermist Health Centers and Comprehensive Community Action Program. Services eligible to children that attend participating schools, Head Starts and community programs. The Molar Express provides x-rays and restorative treatment such as fillings, root canals and extractions (all with parental consent).

North Cove Apartments is a subsidized housing complex with 38 scattered unit sites.

CODAC offers psychiatric and mental health services at all of their locations. After an initial intake screening you may be referred to an on-site psychiatric practitioner for further evaluation and treatment. Individualized treatment and recovery plans might include medication management supervised by the psychiatric practitioner and ongoing co-occurring counseling with clinical staff.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps low-income households with fuel bills during the winter. Eligible households receive a grant to help pay their heating bills. Grants are paid directly to the utility or fuel company. The program generally runs from mid-October thru April.

Works to lead and influence change that improves the quality of life for Latinos in Rhode Island. CHisPA works with community groups, educational institutions, federal, state and local government units, foundations and corporations to improve opportunities for Latinos and other minority groups. Services and activities include Information and Referral, an alternative school for high risk youth, community education, leadership development and other capacity-building programs. Bert Gallery is a Providence-based gallery that showcases and preserves the rich art tradition of Rhode Island and the region. The gallery concentrates on the rediscovery of historically significant artists reflecting major styles and movements in American Art. Bert Gallery offers rotating exhibits and an extensive inventory of paintings, drawings and prints from the late 19th century to present, with a strong emphasis from 1880 - 1950.

Saint Elizabeth Manor is a skilled nursing and rehab center in Bristol and has a long history of providing quality care in the East Bay. With 133 beds, Saint Elizabeth Manor provides short term rehab, long-term care, specialized memory care, and hospice care.
