A Batterers Intervention Program is a psycho-educational group led by trained professional facilitators. Each meeting is an hour and a half to two hours long, and meetings are held every week for a minimum of 20 weeks. Fees are collected, but programs can make accommodations as needed. Ask your parole officer or program staff about available options. Participants are held accountable for their attendance, must be on time, and cannot miss a meeting. Address issues of: victimization and perpetuation of abuse, substance use, mental health, domestic violence, anger management and trauma. Individuals are referred by the court and legal entities

The Rhode Island Donation Exchange Program is a nonprofit social enterprise managed by Comprehensive Community Action Program (CCAP) that solicits donations of quality furniture from individuals and businesses in the community. To help us further our mission, these items are passed along and sold to the public. Though our RI Donation Exchange Discount Program, qualified individuals and families who have been referred to our program by human service organizations receive an additional discount on all items. No item is priced over $350. Pick-Up Services: Rhode Island Donation Exchange offers FREE curbside pick-up for qualifying donations. Please email photos of the furniture to [email protected]. In addition, we offer ReStore Priority Pick-up through ReSupply Service (Fee-Based). This service allows donors to schedule a speedy priority pick-up online within 48 hours. There is a charge for this service. By taking advantage of ReSupply’s services, you can get items out of your home faster, with fewer restrictions. Delivery Services: Rhode Island Donation Exchange offers Curbside Delivery for a $50 fee. You will need to provide help to assist with loading and unloading.

Our programs promote wellness, health maintenance, personal dignity and self worth. Individual needs, interests, skills and abilities are addressed through a variety of stimulating educational, social and health activities to improve the quality of life. **Retired Senior Volunteer Program--Allows anyone 55+ years of age the opportunity to help make the community a better place to live by sharing themselves with others. Participants gain personal satisfaction by serving at a public or non-profit agency. They also have fun by participating in interesting and rewarding experiences. Seniors serve from one to 40 hours a week; RSVP provides guidance and support, transportation, meals and insurance for all volunteers. Social Services--A caring staff of professional case managers and a Community Elder Information Specialist is available to provide support and counseling to seniors and their families, provide access to a network of service providers throughout the city and state, assist with the many available services, offer comfort and compassion, visit homebound seniors to assess and case manage, coordinate Support Groups such as Widow/Widower; Arthritis; Reminiscence.
