EBCAP’s Community Programs are designed to help people to reach their full potential. It is their goal to create the bridge to self-reliance. Their programs improve lives through education, skills training, and clinical care when needed. A program like Baby Steps is a great place for parents to learn how their child develops. Their Home Energy Assistance Program helps those who can’t afford to heat their homes. Through the Congregate Nutrition Program, seniors received a healthy warm meal through their local Senior Centers. Head Start Programs teach the importance of a child’s healthy development so they can grow and thrive! The AmeriCorps Foster Grandparent Program offers a way for individuals 55 and older to stay active by serving children and youth in communities while providing a unique service built on the natural bond between generations. Their AmeriCorps East Bay Retired and Senior Volunteer Program places individuals 55 and older volunteering in many programs and nonprofits in the East Bay area. Their Volunteer Income Tax Program (VITA) provides fee tax preparation for income eligible individuals. Education and Career Pathways helps with educational goals, job readiness skills and improved career options. Their food pantries offer twice monthly food distribution. Senior Services provides options and resources to help income eligible seniors remain in the community. EBCAP has Primary, Behavioral and Dental Health Centers throughout the East Bay. They are unique from other providers because their programs and services go beyond the four walls of our Centers, reaching throughout their communities and neighborhoods. It is important to them that community members have access to the help they need. That is why they offer 24/7 support through their call center, and have staff who can travel to meet clients where it is most comfortable for them. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) provides IRS-trained and certified tax professionals to provide tax-preparation services to clients. VITA volunteers provide timely, quality, and free tax preparation for low to moderate-income individuals and families. Volunteers not only prepare tax returns but simultaneously provide education to clients about their returns and eligible tax credits.

MTM is the state of Rhode Island’s non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) manager. Medicaid recipients can receive rides to appointments with Medicaid-covered health care providers if you have no other way to get there. Non-Medicaid enrollees who qualify for the Elderly Transportation Program (ETP) can receive rides to medical services. Participants in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program/RI Works can receive monthly bus passes to pursue employment opportunities MTM coordinates with qualified transportation to offer this important benefits for Medicaid members who need to get and from Medicaid- covered services but no means of transportation. MTM also provides transportation to Rhode Island residents 60 years of age and older who do not have access to transportation for non- emergency . Medical appointments and certain other services, MTM provides Phone line for the dead and hearing impaired (TYY: 711). The Elderly Transportation Program is provided through MTM and is for Rhode Island residents 60 years of age and older who do not have access to any means of transportation. The Elderly Transportation Program provides transportation to and from medical appointments, adult day care, meal sites, dialysis/ cancer treatment and the Insight Program. Trips to and from meal sites must take place between 10am and 2pm. If you meet the age requirement and do not have access to any means of transportation, you may use the Elderly Transportation Program for rides to meal sites and the Insight Program. The program requires a $2 copay to be collected by the driver for each ride ($2 to destination and $2 back from destination). Call MTM at 1-855-330-9131. Types of transportation available: Public Bus: if you live within 1/2 mile of a bus stop and , your healthcare facility is within 1/2 mile of a bus stop and, you can walk 1/2 mile and you understand common signs and direction. Car/Minivan: if you cannot take the bus or walk. Wheelchair van: if you are confined to a wheelchair or ADA compliant scooter, require a lift equipped or roll-up wheelchair van, require assistance of a trained professional. You are required to sign the driver's log or electronic device upon pick up of the transport. State Fair Hearing- a State Fair Hearing is a chance for you to tell an EOHHS hearing officer why you think MTM's decision is wrong. Clinical support groups are consistently a beneficial intervention for the clients and families. Offers clinical support groups for survivors of sexual abuse (child, teen and adults) and their parents and caregivers. Offers groups focusing on healthy self-esteem, socialization and healing from trauma. Justice Resource Institute’s My Life My Choice (MLMC) Support Group. This 10 session group is designed to empower youth to protect themselves from the commercial sex industry and its perpetrators; explore what makes a healthy relationship; improve self-esteem; and provide positive interaction with peers, medical professionals, law enforcement officers, and survivors. This group beneficial for all teenage girls, as all teenage girls are at risk for exploitation. Clients do not need to have a sexual abuse history to benefit from this group. Non-profit agency offering comprehensive treatment programs for boys and girls traumatized by abuse or experiencing the challenges of psychiatric disorders. Includes therapy, prevention, education, seminars, workshops etc. Children are treated and cared for in the residential, educational and out-patient programs located in North Providence, Rhode Island.

The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides transportation to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves.

Thundermist runs school-based health centers to provide primary care services to students in schools, during the school day. Services at The Health Hut include: physical exams (including school and sports physicals), immunizations, sick visits, treatment of minor injuries, health education, chronic care management (i.e. asthma, diabetes), and dental services-including examinations and hygiene services. School-based health centers work closely with school personnel including principals, school nurse teachers, and student support staff. They do not take the place, or do the job of, the school nurse teacher. School-based health centers are helpful to parents because: It is often difficult to get time off of work to take a child to the doctor. Many families face transportation, language, or financial barriers in traditional health care settings. Adolescents often do not seek out health care because of embarrassment. Adolescence is an important time to have access to a trusted health provider.
