The Fogarty Center offers individual Person-Centered services for job seekers with intellectual/developmental disabilities by offering a comprehensive progression of employment-related services. These services include; Discovery, Career Exploration, Job Trial/Assessment, Placement, Job Coaching and Monitoring. The Fogarty Center also supports adults by planning meaningful activities throughout the day, based on personal preference, within a variety of settings including day programs as well as locations within the community. Services: The department is comprised of six divisions designed to inform, entertain and enrich the lives of those who participate : ** Adult Day Services--Professionally designed programs to meet the needs of frail individuals with physical and/or cognitive impairments. Professional staff consists of registered nurses, a case manager, physical therapy assistant and certified nursing assistants. Therapeutic programs include music, art, physical, occupational, speech, aroma, pet therapy. Recreational activities include crafts, painting, exercise, gardening, Tai Chi and Yoga for elders. Intergenerational programs with local schools provide enrichment opportunities for both young and old alike. Support and Referral Services for each participant and their families, coordination with physicians and other service providers. Cost is based on a sliding fee scale. Licensed by the RI Department of Elderly Affairs. **Nutrition--Provides hot, nutritious, homemade lunches served at 11:45am, Monday through Friday. Snack bar with freshly baked goods, soups and much more. Night Life--Dinners, Thursday at 5pm in the Spring and Fall. **Programs--Offers activities that enable seniors to expand their horizons, enrich their lives and pursue a variety of interests. Seniors serve from one to 40 hours a week; RSVP provides guidance and support, transportation, meals and insurance for all volunteers.
