The Cumberland Senior Center is committed to providing an array of quality services to enrich and educate their senior citizens. They encourage and assist individuals in achieving a lifestyle in which they can remain an active and productive member of the community. Services include day trips and exercise classes. Membership is $8 per year to join the Cumberland Senior Center. Non-residents' cost is $12 for the annual membership. Programs: a variety of educational, informational and recreational programs for seniors are offered through the year. Senior Van - transportation is available, including center pick-ups and drop-offs, for local shopping and appointments. Daily Lunches - $3 lunches are served daily at 11:30. Reservations are needed.

Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) serves people who have disabilities or chronic care needs in the setting ideal for them and their families. Services may be episodic or on-going. Services may be provided in a person's home, the community (for example, shared living or assisted living), or institutional settings (for example, intermediate care facilities, hospitals, or nursing homes) to optimize their health and retain their independence. People of all ages may need long term care. The Food 4 Life program provides meals 7 days a week to people at various locations and shelters in the greater Providence area, Kent County and Northern Rhode Island. Our committed volunteers serve an average of 1,000 + meals per week.

Lunch is served in the Parkside Dining Room at the Senior/Community Center. Those unable to pay will not be turned away. Meals are also available for home-bound neighbors weekdays with Meals on Wheels

The Senior Dining Program provides weekday hot lunches at cafes across the state. The lunches are available to seniors (60+) and disabled adults. The program has no income limits.

Kids Cafe is a program of Feeding America, the national network of food banks, and it is the nation's largest meal program exclusively for needy children. The Food Bank’s Kids Cafe serves healthy meals to children at risk of hunger at after school programs in local community centers. Students come directly from school and receive a delicious dinner to give them energy to focus, concentrate, and play during the rest of their day until it’s time for the to go home in the evening. They also learn about nutrition and making healthy choices when they eat. For many of the children, Kids Cafe provides their only meal for the evening.

Program is the largest congregate dining setting for seniors or for those with disabilities in Rhode Island. The Blackstone Café provides balanced and nutritional meals to disabled adults and seniors in a community dining setting. There are 17 Blackstone Health Café dining locations across the state of Rhode Island where meals can be enjoyed or picked up. At the Supper Table on Monday nights the Calabrese Club chef prepares a wonderful, free meal which will be served to guests family style in a comfortable, dining environment. All ages, all are welcome.

Supports seniors and those with disabilities by providing opportunities for socialization, recreation, nutrition, education, information and referral, volunteering, health & fitness and all aspects of social services. They offer a full calendar of activities, including card games, bocce, walking, arts & crafts, yoga, exercise, Zumba, line dancing, bocce, bingo, and gardening (seasonally). They sponsor multiple field trips per month and educational presentations. The Social Services Office provides a wide range of resources, help and services to members of their community including SNAP/EBT applications, housing applications, heating assistance, Medicare, property tax relief and other case-by-case needs. AARP Yearly Tax Preparation is held February through April, by appointment only.

The Kosher Meals on Wheels program from Jewish Collaborative Services delivers nutritious kosher meals to homebound seniors and disabled individuals. Part of our kosher nutrition program, Kosher Meals on Wheels provides an essential safety net for hundreds of community members who might otherwise face malnutrition.

Lasagna Love is providing a one time meal delivery to individuals and families who are struggling due to the pandemic and who are under stress.

Restaurant Program for seniors started in 2007. Seniors are able to obtain a voucher to take to a participating restaurant in exchange for meal options provided by the restaurant.

Lunch is provided every weekday, must make reservations 2 days in advance, order by the Wednesday of the week prior to the date of reservation for salad option.

Sponsored by EBCAP and catered by Cranston Senior Center. Menus can be picked up at the Center or viewed on-line on the Town website and they can also be found in the monthly newsletter.

Kosher cafe open to everyone state wide. Serving coffee, tea, and 3 courses. Example: soup, chicken or fish, and a cookie and orange slices. 2 hour duration, some weeks there are events like story telling or painting etc.
