Six month program and transitional housing for men, 18 and older in early recovery from substance abuse. Must be able to work. Provides referral services and crisis intervention. Our treatment program is based on the 12-step principles of recovery. We utilize evidence based therapy as well as other proven clinical methods. Residents are required to attend community based self-help groups, participate in individual and group counseling, join in weekly activity therapy and perform household chores.

The AmeriCorps Foster Grandparent Program offers a way for individuals 55 and older to stay active by serving children and youth in communities while providing a unique service built on the natural bond between generations. Their AmeriCorps East Bay Retired and Senior Volunteer Program places individuals 55 and older volunteering in many programs and nonprofits in the East Bay area. Their Volunteer Income Tax Program (VITA) provides fee tax preparation for income eligible individuals. Education and Career Pathways helps with educational goals, job readiness skills and improved career options. Their food pantries offer twice monthly food distribution. Senior Services provides options and resources to help income eligible seniors remain in the community. EBCAP has Primary, Behavioral and Dental Health Centers throughout the East Bay. They are unique from other providers because their programs and services go beyond the four walls of our Centers, reaching throughout their communities and neighborhoods. It is important to them that community members have access to the help they need. That is why they offer 24/7 support through their call center, and have staff who can travel to meet clients where it is most comfortable for them. Camp Ruggles is Rhode Island’s therapeutic summer day camp program for children ages 6-12, who are clinically diagnosed with emotional and behavioral disabilities. Our program is designed specifically for children with significant difficulties in these areas who cannot succeed in a regular camp environment.

Outpatient addiction treatment involves one-on-one counseling sessions to help patients overcome alcohol or drug dependence. October through May the Rhode Island Philharmonic performs an eight concert Classical series, four concert Rush Hour series, three concert Pops series and two concert Family series. During summer there are free pop concerts at venues throughout the state.

The Autism Project is committed to providing support to families raising children with special health care needs. Caring for a child or youth with ASD, a developmental disability, or who is medically fragile can be stressful and overwhelming at times. Having the ability to take a brief break from responsibilities is important. The Respite Program gives parents or guardians a break from caregiving to recharge.

Rhode Island Family Literacy Initiative (RIFLI), based out of Providence Public Library, is a free, nationally recognized ESL, citizenship preparation, workforce development and family literacy program for adults at public libraries throughout Rhode Island.

Newport Heights is a mixed-income development located on Aquidneck Island. In total, there are 49 market-rate apartments and 250 affordable apartments that have various layers of subsidy available to tenants.

Cara Estates is subsidized housing for persons with disabilities; preference given to those with developmental disabilities.

The Rhode Island Veterans Home is a 110-acre complex on Mount Hope Bay in Bristol. The home provides quality nursing and residential care to Rhode Island war veterans. Some of the services provided include social, medical, nursing and rehabilitative services. Services Approximately 208 beds. Assisted living and nursing care, including secure units (Alzheimer's care) and palliative care. X-ray, dental, and pharmacy services, physical therapy and occupational therapy, psych services, transportation to PVAMC. Rehabilitation Services includes physical and occupational therapy. Social Services includes individual and group therapy and specialized support groups. Transitional Services include short-term stays in dorms or a more intensive Transitional Supportive Program for homeless veterans. Activities and Services for Residents include movies, crafts, card games, bingo, birthday parties, cookouts and day trips. Religious Services are also available. In addition to the Veterans Home buildings, the facilities include a library, gift shop, cafe, bank, barbershop, and beautician. The Veterans Home has an active Family Council that is open to family members. They meet monthly to discuss common issues and concerns affecting the residents of the home.
