The Weekapaug Fire District provides fire rescue and fire prevention services to the town of Westerly. It is one of six different fire companies within the town.

Adult day program for the elderly and disabled that offers a six week health education program called Take Control of Your Health. Nutritional meal provided at noon and two daily snacks, senior advocacy program, daily fitness program, spiritual, music, games. RIDE program for transportation, and a social worker on staff. Individuals with diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, memory loss are especially encouraged to attend the Center because their program is specifically designed for these health conditions. Their staff is composed of CNA's, and they help with care management. They also monitor blood pressure and blood sugar levels for individuals. They take donations.

The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) serves as “the principal agency of the executive branch of state government” (R.I.G.L. §42-7.2-2) responsible for managing the departments of: Health (RIDOH); Human Services (DHS); Office of Healthy Aging (OHA); Office of Veterans Services (VETS); Children, Youth and Families (DCYF); and Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH). Provide support and training to deaf individuals with diverse disabilities. The philosophy of our program is to provide social, habilitation and employment services to deaf people with diverse disabilities and others with unique communication needs in an independence and empowerment-based model that facilitates living, learning and working successfully as integrated members of the community. Services are concentrated in four areas: Day Program, Residential Program, Employment Services (training, internship, job coaching, paid employment) and Community Outreach/Involvement, which includes attending cultural and civic events, volunteering with neighborhood clean-up and enhancement projects, and working with staff at Fairs and Conventions to promote Corliss services and activities to parents, schools, businesses and public agencies.
