The Bristol Division of Emergency Management Services implements policies related to hazard mitigation and emergency management programs and activities. The EMA also has general supervision of all civil preparedness duties. Shelter Locations Bristol Emergency Shelters are located at the Quinta-Gamelin Community Center on Asylum Rd. and Mt. It is a family reunification program and women participate in treatment with their young children. The program allows for 6 months to 9 Months of treatment and has the capacity for 12 women and 24 children.

A free, annual 2-day bereavement day camp run by Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island to provide an appropriate emotional outlet for Rhode Island children 5 to 17 years-old who have experienced the death of a loved one.
