Daily Meals & Activities for Older Adults-a healthy, well balanced 3 course hot lunch offered Monday- Thursday and in conjunction with a variety of fun activities including exercise, bingo, and nutrition workshops Includes free transportation to and from Federal Hill House, if needed. They offer weekly field trips to local restaurants, shopping, banking serving meals at our dialy meal site, serving food pantry clients in Federal Hill and Olneyville, facilitating health and wellness activities for older adults, and working with school age children before or after school.

Supports seniors and those with disabilities by providing opportunities for socialization, recreation, nutrition, education, information and referral, volunteering, health & fitness and all aspects of social services. They offer a full calendar of activities, including card games, bocce, walking, arts & crafts, yoga, exercise, Zumba, line dancing, bocce, bingo, and gardening (seasonally). They sponsor multiple field trips per month and educational presentations. The Social Services Office provides a wide range of resources, help and services to members of their community including SNAP/EBT applications, housing applications, heating assistance, Medicare, property tax relief and other case-by-case needs. AARP Yearly Tax Preparation is held February through April, by appointment only.

At the Supper Table on Monday nights the Calabrese Club chef prepares a wonderful, free meal which will be served to guests family style in a comfortable, dining environment. All ages, all are welcome.

The Center also operates a meal site for senior citizens, and provides meals on wheels to a large number of individuals within the community.

The Senior Dining Program provides weekday hot lunches at cafes across the state. The lunches are available to seniors (60+) and disabled adults. The program has no income limits.

The Senior Center has a meal-site that serves lunch Monday thru Friday at 11:30. The suggested donation for the meal is $3.00. Menus are available.

Isolated seniors in our community often find it difficult to make or buy nutritious meals. They may also lack meaningful social interaction, which has been shown to improve quality of life and even extend lifespans. JCS’s Kosher Senior Cafés are designed to meet both needs. The Kosher Senior Cafés in Providence and Cranston offer delicious kosher lunches and an opportunity to socialize for older adults and those with disabilities. Activities and entertainment contribute to the fun social atmosphere, drawing participants into a vibrant community.

Aging Well, Inc. has provided services to seniors and adults with disabilities residing in Northern Rhode Island since 1975. In accordance with the Congregate Meal Program financed through a grant with R.I. Office of Healthy Aging, Senior Services, Inc. provides nutritionally balanced lunches five days a week at meal sites throughout northern R.I.

The Cumberland Senior Center is committed to providing an array of quality services to enrich and educate their senior citizens. They encourage and assist individuals in achieving a lifestyle in which they can remain an active and productive member of the community. Services include day trips and exercise classes. Membership is $8 per year to join the Cumberland Senior Center. Non-residents' cost is $12 for the annual membership. Programs: a variety of educational, informational and recreational programs for seniors are offered through the year. Senior Van - transportation is available, including center pick-ups and drop-offs, for local shopping and appointments. Daily Lunches - $3 lunches are served daily at 11:30. Reservations are needed.

The Food 4 Life program provides meals 7 days a week to people at various locations and shelters in the greater Providence area, Kent County and Northern Rhode Island. Our committed volunteers serve an average of 1,000 + meals per week.

Lunch is provided every weekday, must make reservations 2 days in advance, order by the Wednesday of the week prior to the date of reservation for salad option.

Sponsored by EBCAP and catered by Cranston Senior Center. Menus can be picked up at the Center or viewed on-line on the Town website and they can also be found in the monthly newsletter.

Lunch is served in the Parkside Dining Room at the Senior/Community Center. Those unable to pay will not be turned away. Meals are also available for home-bound neighbors weekdays with Meals on Wheels
