​LCDC’s mission is to empower residents in the area through a variety of social service programs that will help alleviate poverty, illiteracy and chemical addictions. By supporting households with basic needs, individuals are able to concentrate more diligently on seeking education and employment opportunities that will strengthen the family unit.

A six week program operated between June and August for youth ages 14 -24. The program provides youth with work experience opportunities in local businesses, public facilities and non-profit agencies. Work experiences provide youth with hands-on opportunities to develop the skills they will need upon entering the work force. Youth receive wages and other payments upon attaining certain benchmarks relative to their job performance. Youth also participate in a variety of career and personal development activities such as community service projects, field trips, post secondary exploration, and guest speakers from key RI industries.

The mission of the City of Warwick's Division of Emergency Management is to be the local public safety organization providing comprehensive, risk-based, and coordinated emergency management operations. The Warwick Emergency Management Agency Director is Major Rick Rathbun. The staff manages the Warwick Emergency Operations Center (EOC), a state of the art facility where key members of the City Departments gather during activations to determine situational status, coordinate actions and make critical decisions during emergency situations.

The Woonsocket Fire Department along with the Woonsocket Police Department make up the Department of Public Safety. The Department is headed by a Chief who reports to the Director of Public Safety. The entire department is responsible for the protection of the community's health, quality of life, and property.

The Museum has an extensive collection of significant artifacts related to Block Island’s history, from Manissean stone tools and points to early New England maritime and farming displays, colonial memorabilia and enlarged vintage photographs capturing life during the Victorian age. Two floors of exhibits include fine furniture, Victorian collectibles, textiles, quilts, boat models, tools, fishing gear, historic maps, and other interesting displays.

Patient travel resources for help with free medical air transportation. If a patient travel distance is 1000 miles or less, the services of a volunteer pilot organization flying for public benefit will be the referral. These organizations provide no-cost private or corporate aircraft travel for the patient and accompanying family member(s). Often a patient is flown to treatment location one day and then brought back home the next day to a week or two later.

Residential school for boys, grades seven through twelve. Offering a full high school diploma, the school is licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). In addition, we offer a certified special education program and career/technical education programming. Our student body is comprised of Ocean Tides residential students and students referred by their school district for education purposes (both regular and special education). Each candidate is screened by the Director of Special Education and the Principal before admittance to ensure the student is ready and willing to enter the program. Given the severe educational difficulties these students have experienced in the past, Ocean Tides seeks to provide creative, individualized programs that meet the needs of all in our care. A 25 bed, co-ed Assisted Living Residence for adults and seniors with behavioral healthcare needs who require assistance with everyday activities. Staff assists residents with coordination of services and encourage participation in various activities in the local area. Evergreen is staffed with dually-licensed Nursing Assistants and Medication Aides. A Registered Nurse meets monthly with residents to evaluate healthcare needed and coordinate service planning. Easily accessible to public transportation.

A 70 bed comprehensive inpatient/outpatient medical rehabilitation program, transitional care unit, neuro behavioral unit for stroke and brain injury patients, transitional living apartments, staff of specialized medical rehabilitation therapists and nursing professionals. Outpatient services available from both units. Stroke Specialty The Stroke Specialty Rehabilitation Program, a CARF recognized program, provides adults needing therapy to improve their function and quality of life. Our patients have been diagnosed with cerebral vascular accidents (CVA), intracranial hemorrhages, and thrombo/embolic strokes. Neurorehabilitation This program treats patients with diagnoses such as brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, and multiple sclerosis. Our dedicated staff work with patients to regain the skills to walk, communicate and live more independently. Our therapists also treat patients with cognitive and/or behavioral disabilities.
