Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Feeding and Nutrition Program provides food vouchers, allowing them to purchase milk, eggs, cheese, juice and iron fortified cereals and formula. Girl Scouting helps cultivate values, social conscience and self-esteem in girls, while also teaching them critical life skills that will enable them to succeed as adults. In Girl Scouting, and its special girl only environment, girls discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together. The program is delivered through troops comprised of five age levels: Daisy, 5 - 6 years old; Brownie, 6 - 8 years; Junior, 8 - 11 years old; Cadette, 11 - 14 years old and Senior, 14 - 17 years old. HabitatPVD is offering a program to help older adults live in their homes longer. Program highlights include: A free comprehensive health, safety and home performance assessment. A free basic package of aging-in-place modifications and repairs valued at almost $500 (grab rails, lighting, light-touch painting, cleaning and more). Linking to other available home repair programs and funds and referrals to other services in the area as needed. Connecting to volunteer opportunities. Access to apply for zero percent interest loan for more costly measures.
