Assisted Daily Living, Inc. provides clients with a wide array of services designed to ensure superior patient care in the familiar comfort of home, often providing a happier and more affordable alternative to nursing, or assisted living facilities. Services can be arranged for a few hours a week or around the clock. ADL begins by reviewing the specific needs of the client through discussions with family members, as well as the care recipient's doctor, social workers or therapists. A customized program of care is developed to manage the client's daily needs. ADL will match the clients needs to the best possible caregiver, based on both professional experience and on ability characteristics. THERAPIST'S - PT, OT, ST: Therapists including physical therapists, occupational and speech therapists assist in the rehabilitation of those with physical injuries or disease. Restoration of mobility, strength, dexterity, balance and communication skills is often the purpose for therapy. Helping individuals who are disabled by physical injuries or disease to regain maximum function with activities of daily living is always a main priority.

The Alcohol and Drug Inpatient Unit provides acute treatment for adults who are actively addicted to alcohol and/or other drugs. Detoxification with intensive medical supervision is provided for people who do not have the support or detoxify for an outpatient basis.

Mental health services in a fully integrated model alongside medical services. Thundermist’s behavioral health team includes licensed social workers, mental health counselors, and psychiatric clinical nurse specialists. They provide individual and group counseling, integrated behavioral health interventions, case management, and referrals. Thundermist behavioral health services program provides open access and immediate crisis-oriented interventions to patients, as well as follow up.

One of the key services OSCIL provides is advocacy both for individuals and within the community as a whole. Advocacy is central to a Center for Independent Living’s mission. CILs offers both individual and systems advocacy. Individual advocacy is assisting an individual with a disability to protect his or her rights or to fight for needed resources. Through systems advocacy, we advance civil rights and equal access for all persons with disabilities on the local, state and federal levels. SYSTEMS ADVOCACY Our Independent Living Coordinators keep up-to-date on programs and legislation which may affect people with disabilities. Consumers are encouraged to contact their community leaders and legislators to inform them of their views on various programs and legislative issues. INDIVIDUAL ADVOCACY We work with people with disabilities to teach valuable self-advocacy skills, including: Learning the rights that they have already and making effective use of those rights. Learning how to effectively communicate their needs to both maintain the rights they already have and to make advancement in expanding the rights of persons with disabilities. OSCIL staff will also work with consumers to advocate for services to meet individual needs, including helping to understand the function and processes (necessary criteria, application process, deadlines, etc.) for Social Security, Vocational Rehabilitation, Medicare/Medicaid, and other service agencies.

Provides short-term counseling for individuals, couples and families; information and referral about on-base and community service agencies; employment assistance, jobs skills bank for dependents; education programs in such areas as parenting, stress management, personal financial management; consumer information.

The EMA also has general supervision of all civil preparedness duties and performs any other duties as assigned by the Town Manager. The East Greenwich Police Department is an integral part of the Town's Emergency Management Agency. The department is tasked with site assessments, public safety, and direction and control during emergencies.

Hospital charity care requirements cover those essential services necessary to diagnose, correct, or cure a medical condition that endangers life, causes pain and suffering, results in illness or infirmity, or causes a physical deformity or malfunction. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included. To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income. A 25 bed, co-ed Assisted Living Residence for adults and seniors with behavioral healthcare needs who require assistance with everyday activities. Staff assists residents with coordination of services and encourage participation in various activities in the local area. Evergreen is staffed with dually-licensed Nursing Assistants and Medication Aides. A Registered Nurse meets monthly with residents to evaluate healthcare needed and coordinate service planning. Easily accessible to public transportation.

Anthony House is subsidized housing 62+, handicapped or disabled.
